Church Services
The Sunday worship service is dedicated to the spiritual
healing and redemption which Christ Jesus taught and practiced.
The service is led by two Readers that have been elected by the members of the Church. These services comprise readings of citations taken from the King James version of the Bible and correlative passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. These readings are called Lesson/Sermons and are studied by the congregation during the week to culminate in song and praise on Sunday morning. These Bible Lessons are rich in spiritual truths that help guide us in effective prayer for ourselves, our families, our communities, and for our world.
The Wednesday evening testimony meetings are a time of spiritual fellowship.
Here you will share hymns of gratitude and praise and listen to readings from our Pastor, the Bible and the Christian Science Textbook. The topics chosen by the Reader are relative to the important and pressing issues of the day. These inspired readings uplift thought and give positive prayer for helpful resolutions to life’s problems.
That’s not all! After you’ve been spiritually inspired and refreshed then comes the sharing portion of the service where everyone is invited to give testimony to God’s healing presence in their lives. Sometimes insights turn toward something from the Lesson/Sermon for the week or an article in one of the Christian Science periodicals and sometimes it comes as heartfelt gratitude for the good in our lives.
Childcare for young children is provided during all services.
